According to a Press Release issued by Ravindra Bhakar, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, Western Railway 92.66% punctuality data is the highest among all Zones of Indian Railways. Due to various repairs, maintenance, doubling, etc. from time to time during the entire financial year. Despite peak traffic blocks, achieving this supreme timeliness is considered a special achievement. During the same period of last financial year, the punctuality of Mail/Express trains of Western Railway was 91.58%, in view of which there has been a significant increase in the percentage of punctuality in this financial year. Bhakar said that Western Railway will ensure all possible efforts to remain on top, keeping this magnificent achievement of punctuality in future.
Western Railway has always been at the forefront in providing the best possible facilities to passengers and making them reach their destinations on time. In this sequence, due to its dedicated efforts and intensive monitoring, Western Railway has managed to top in entire Indian Railways Zones on the basis of the best data on the punctuality of Mail/Express trains during the current financial year. During the year 2019-20 till February, the timeliness of Western Railway Mail/Express trains has been 92.66%, which is 2.67% more than the target.
